squeakers

Willet Memorial Library
Wesleyan College
Macon, Georgia

After almost twenty-three years of serving the campus of Wesleyan College as official pet and comforting friend, Squeakers died on April 12, 2008.  She is remembered in Willet Library’s courtyard with a memorial stone, which resides in the shade of a beautiful Japanese maple where Squeakers spent many happy hours.  A memorial service, officiated by the college chaplain, Reverend Bill Hurdle, and attended by over thirty faculty, staff, and students, was held April 24th near the tree under which the stone rests.  Squeakers has been lovingly remembered with gifts to the library and to the college.
